RATIOS OF E2 TRANSITION PROBABILITIES OF DEFORMED EVEN-EVEN NUCLEI,

Abstract

Several ratios of E2 transition probabilities between levels belonging to the ground-state, beta- and gamma-rotational bands in deformed even-even nuclei are numerically calculated within the framework of the rotation-vibration interaction model. A detailed comparison of the theoretical predictions with available experimental data is performed. The conclusion can be drawn that this model gives at the present one of the best agreement with experiment without the introduction of empirically determined parameters. (Author)
