FLUIDIC AC AMPLIFIERS.

Abstract

Several fluidic tuned AC Amplifiers were designed and tested. Interstage tuning and feedback designs are considered. Good results were obtained with vented flow amplifiers using interstage tuning. Single stage elements demonstrated gains as high as 35 db at resonance (600 to 1300 hz) with corresponding Q's as high as 12. Element designs and test results of one, two, and three stage amplifiers are presented. AC Modulated Carrier Systems offer potential advantages over DC amplifiers which include higher gain per stage, lower drift and better noise rejection. To achieve this, high gain, narrow-band amplifiers are required. It is concluded that fluidic amplifiers with low impedance characteristics are necessary. (Author)
