SOME TOWED LINE HYDROPHONE ARRAYS FOR SEISMIC REFLECTION PROFILING.

Abstract

The report reviews briefly developments of ship-towed line hydrophone arrays used in deep-ocean geophysical programs. These arrays have been used with explosives and lower energy sound sources to gather seismic reflection data at ship's speed averaging 10-12 knots. (Author)
