ON THE THEORY OF TEMPORAL PERTURBATIONS OF THE GRAVITATIONAL AND MAGNETIC FIELDS IN CONNECTION WITH RECENT TECTONOPHYSICAL PROCESSES IN THE EARTH.

Abstract

The translation of papers gives some results of investigations pertaining to the connection between temporal gravitational and magnetic potentials and the form, density and magnetization of the perturbing bodies that change in terms of time. Observations, usually over a 2-3 year period, are conducted at the same point. At some stations continuous daily observations are made for the changes in terms of time of the gravitational and magnetic fields and inclinations of the earth's surface. At present, these observations are made in a number of regions of the USSR, including Siberia, where networks of stationary geophysical polygons have been developed. Magnetometers, gravimeters and tiltmeters are useful in this continuous observation. (Author)
