A STUDY OF PERSISTENT AND WIDESPREAD FOG PERIODS IN SOUTHERN GERMANY,

Abstract

The study discusses 10 cases of widespread heavy fog occurring over the southern half of Germany during the October to March periods of the years 1958 to 1961. The general surface and 500 mb synoptic situations attending fog formations are discussed and charts are included. (Author)
