CERAMIC ROD ANTENNAS,

Abstract

Radiation patterns of several rod antennas made of sintered aluminum oxide are shown. Some of the characteristics of this material are discussed and compared with the presently used antenna material. It is also possible to accurately predict the beamwidth of these antennas. The advantages of tapering the antenna are also discussed. (Author)
