DENSITY FUNCTIONS FOR SOME RANDOM SUMS OF NORMAL, SINUSOIDAL, AND RAYLEIGH VARIABLES,

Abstract

The sums of random variables having Rayleigh, normal, and sinusoidal probability density functions are investigated. The resulting density function of the sum is given and the effect of adding random variables in various ratios is analyzed by studying the resulting density functions through their graphs. In the appendix, derivations of the density functions are shown. (Author)
