DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNESIUM FLAT CELL BATTERY.

Abstract

Delayed capacity performance is tabulated on a series of batteries previously assembled. Graphs are included illustrating the capacity maintenance on the BA-399 and 600 ohms/5 - Continuous drains after various periods of storage at various temperatures. Gas evolution stand test data is presented from immersion of magnesium in electrolyte-manganese dioxide filtrates. An experimentally designed series of batteries was assembled incorporating four variables and three levels of each in an attempt to influence high temperature storage characteristics. (Author)
