HEAT OF FORMATION AND TRANSITION TEMPERATURES OF SOLID LITHIUM HEXAFLUOROALUMINATE,

Abstract

A direct calorimetric determination of the heat of the reaction 3LiF(c) + AlF3(c) yields Li3AlF6(c) gave a value of -5.4 plus or minus 0.5 kcal/mole. Five solid forms of Li3AlF6 were identified by high temperature X-ray powder photography and transition temperatures estimated. (Author)
