USAMBRL EXERCISE-TRACTION UNIT.

Abstract

The disadvantages of presently available traction systems and the equipment available for therapeutic exercise programs have been apparent for many years. To obviate their drawbacks a self-contained exercise-traction unit has been developed in which the force is obtained mechanically rather than from a dead weight load. The USAMBRL Exercise-Traction Unit provides a simple, efficient method of obtaining the forces needed for both traction and therapeutic exercise programs regardless of the location of the patient --- home, clinic, ward, or while in transit from one location to another.
