Abstract

The report derives the explicit form of equivalent equations which govern the deformations of self-gravitating elastic bodies of non-uniform internal temperature, whose dynamical behavior is characterized by variable Lame parameters lambda and mu. Special respect will be paid to small deformations (or oscillations) about the state of hydrostatic equilibrium, characterized by spheroidal or toroidal symmetry.
