Abstract

Section II, Physical properties is the fourth section of publication No. 700, 'Oceanographic Atlas of the North Atlantic Ocean,' published by the U. S. Naval Oceanographic Office. In this section each typical trace represents the temperature, salinity or density structure most frequently observed in the 610 meters (2,000 feet) of each region. The trace lies within an envelop encompassing all observations of temperature, salinity or density in the region. (Author)
