PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE WORKING PROCESS IN COMBUSTION CHAMBERS OF JET ENGINES

Abstract

The book deals with the physical principles of fuel combustion processes in air flows and methods of calculation of combustion chambers of jet engines. Consideration is given to thermodynamic and aerodynamic characteristics of combustion chambers, processes of atomization and carburetion of fuels, ignition and combustion of gas mixtures in laminar and turbulent flows, methods of flame stabilization, vibrational combustion, combustion in the wake behind a bluff body, processes of heat exchange and thermal protection of chambers.
