THE MADAM SYSTEM: DATA MANAGEMENT WITH A SMALL COMPUTER

Abstract

The paper discusses the uses of the MADAM system for data management tasks on the small, free-standing computer such as the IBM 1401 or IBM 360/30. It is largely nontechnical in approach and is addressed to managers rather than to computer personnel. An example of a problem and its solution is given to demonstrate the speed and simplicity of MADAM usage.
