SPIN GENERATOR,

Abstract

Theoretical and experimental investigations of a spin generator show that this type of instruments can find and is finding application in the various fields of science and technology where it is necessary to make an accurate tracking of the intensity of a constant magnetic field: in magnetometers, is constant magnetic field stabilizers, and also in spectrometers of nuclear magnetic resonance. The use of a spin generator in magnetometry permits continuous control over field intensity changes which has an unconditional advantage in comparison with the free precession method. The use of a spin generator for measuring and stabilizing a constant magnetic field intensity in comparison with the use of a passive line of nuclear magnetic resonance increases the attainable accuracy, since the stability of a spin generator is considerably higher than 1/Q where Q is the quality of a passive line of nuclear magnetic resonance.
