A STUDY OF THE ELECTRIC DEFLECTION OF MOLECULAR BEAMS.
Abstract
A UHV molecular beam apparatus with a mass spectrometric detector, which is to be used for the measurement of dipole moments and polarizabilities was completed and is performing satisfactorily. The system, which is now undergoing final tests, is sufficiently sensitive to allow the study of species generated at pressures of less than 0.0001 torr. (Author)
