A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR FACTOR ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL PROPERTIES.

Abstract

The mathematical formulation of Factor Analysis is developed for the purpose of analyzing physical properties of molecules. A least-squares method of finding physically significant parameters is discussed. A computer program (FORTRAN II) for Factor Analysis is presented in order to elucidate the various steps involved, and an example problem is solved. (Author)
