THE ROLE OF OPERATIONS RESEARCH IN PLANNING FOR LIMITED WAR

Abstract

The report begins with a discussion of limited war and some of the problem areas involved. This is followed by a subjective evaluation of where operations research has been somewhat successful in assisting the military planner. The article concludes with a speculation as to future capabilities and what some of the difficulties might be.
