CALCULATION OF HYPERSONIC AXISYMMETRIC JETS.

Abstract

Discussion is given of the problem of supersonic flow of an ideal, thermodynamically perfect gas expelled from a nozzle into a stationary medium. An approximate analytical solution of the problem is obtained and applied to several examples, specifically, design, over-expanded and under-expanded nozzles. (Author)
