DEVELOPMENT OF A SELF-COOLED LOW-PRESSURE GAS FROST-POINT INDICATOR.

Abstract

The development of a self-cooled low-pressure (up to 150 pounds per square inch) moisture indicator is described. Laboratory tests indicate that the instrument is accurate to within 2-3 F dew/frost point temperature when compared to standards and has response and performance characteristics making it suitable for shipboard service as an intermittent monitoring instrument. Development of the instrument is continuing in the area of automatic equipment for sensing the dew or frost point. (Author)
