EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATIONS OF FRINGE COUNTING ERRORS ASSOCIATED WITH ROTATION OF A CORNER CUBE FORMING AN ARM OF A LASER INTERFEROMETER.

Abstract

Apparatus was constructed and experiments conducted to confirm the effect of corner-cube rotation on the accuracy of linear measurement with an interferometer. Theory was verified within the accuracy of the experiment. These results will serve as guidelines for construction of an optimum transport system for the corner-cube. (Author)
