A THEORETICAL STUDY OF TROPOSPHERIC RADIOWAVE PROPAGATION.

Abstract

The report contains a theoretical study by mode theory methods of tropospheric radiowave propagation through a duct. A hyperbolic model is used for the duct. There are three different methods for carrying out the investigation. Characteristic values are given for the first four modes for nine different cases. Characteristic functions were computed for eight of these, for two different heights. Mode sums are given. The critical wave-length is considered. (Author)
