DEVELOPMENT OF PRACTICE FOR COMPOSITE ROLLING OF STRUCTURAL METAL PANELS.

Abstract

Continued development of practice for composite rolling of structural metal panels was planned. The structural metals are to include a precipitation-hardening steel (PH 14-8Mo), an alpha-titanium alloy (Ti-4Al-0.202), a beta-titanium alloy (Ti-8Mo-8V-3Al-2Fe), and if preliminary results deem advisable, a high-strength nickel-base alloy (Rene 41).
