INFORMATION PROCESSING IN BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS.

Abstract

Abstracts are presented on the following: Discrete and graded receptor potentials in the compound eye of the fly (Musca); An insect mechanoreceptor (Fine structure and adequate stimulus); An insect mechanoreceptor (Receptor potentials); Quantum sensitivity of light receptors in the compound eye of the fly Musca; Nonlinear analogs for simulation of adaptation processes in biological systems; The relations between the roster of ommatidia and the roster of rhabdomeres in the complex-eye of the fly Musca; Patterns of projection in the visual system of the fly Musca (Retina-Lamina projection); The influence of the facet separating pigments in Drosophila mutants onto the perception of brightness and contrast; Ganglion cells in the frog retina (Inhibitory receptive field and long-latency response); Nervous interaction in the pupillomotoric pathway of the human eye (Differences in the reactions to monocular and binocular light stimulation); Nervous interaction in the pupillomotoric pathway of the human eye (A mathematical model describing the differences in the relations to monocular and binocular light stimulation).
