ALL-PLASTIC TELEPHONE DROP WIRE.

Abstract

An all-plastic telephone drop wire was developed which offers heretofore unavailable properties. Mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, electrical properties, and weatherability were optimized to meet modern requirements. Installations were made using industry accepted practices and hardware. A polyvinyl chloride plastic, an adhesive and a high strength copper/steel conductor was combined to form a new high performance product that has received widespread acceptance in the operating telephone industry.
