FEASIBILITY OF DEVELOPING DOLLAR VALUES FOR INCREMENTS OF TIME SAVED BY AIR TRAVELERS,

Abstract

The purpose of this project, as stated by FAA, is to conduct economic and statistical research in accordance with generally accepted economic principles to determine the feasibility and worth to the Federal Aviation Agency of developing a series of averages of, or formulae for computing, the dollar values of increments of time saved by populations of air travelers as a result of improvements being made to the Air Traffic Control and Navigation (ATCN) and public airport systems in the United States by the FAA. The report investigates the feasibility of such development, rather than to produce a definitive, specific table of dollar values at this time, which would require a considerably larger effort than that to which this report is limited.
