PASSIVE MICROWAVE RADIOMETRY OF SEA STATE,

Abstract

The report examines the problem of reflection and emission of microwave radiation from a rough sea. The study is conducted by means of a statistical distribution. Reflection matrices for two sets of Stokes polarization parameters are determined. Using the theory of reciprocity, expressions are obtained for the polarized emissivity of rough sea. The resulting analytical solutions are programmed for an IBM 7094 computer. (Author)
