A MULTITYPE STOCHASTIC POPULATION MODEL,

Abstract

This study introduces a simple multitype population model and analyzes some of its mathematical properties. The model incorporates several key features of more complicated real situations arising in the theory of inventories, maintenance, health, and personnel selection. The approach is purely theoretical: mathematical proofs and consequences of the model are given but no attempt has been made to fit real data to the model. (Author)
