A NUCLEAR-MAGNETIC-RESONANCE SPECTROMETER.

Abstract

A spectrometer of the Pound-Knight-Watkins type has been designed and constructed for studies of nuclear-magnetic-resonance absorption in solids. It may be used for room-temperature studies of single crystals to determine the components of the electric-field-gradient (EFG) matrix, the asymmetry parameter, and the orientation of the principal axes of the EFG matrix at nuclear sites. Recordings are given as an indication of performance. (Author)
