FUNDAMENTALS OF TURBULENCE.

Abstract

The fundamental aspects of turbulence are reviewed. Great emphasis is laid on an intuitive development of the characteristic features of homogeneous and isotropic turbulence. The limited generalizations to other types of turbulence are briefly explored. No attempt is made to introduce experimental data in support of the theoretical notions presented. A brief bibliography is included. (Author)
