FEASIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND UTILIZATION OF PERSONNEL PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVENESS MEASURES FOR MAN/MACHINE FUNCTION ALLOCATION DECISIONS.

Abstract

The report summarizes research undertaken to examine the feasibility of developing a methodology for providing quantitative indices of Personnel Performance Effectiveness (PPE), for use in man/machine function allocation decisions. Such PPE indices would also provide a personnel input to the general systems effectiveness model. After reviewing some of the most significant work which has been done by others in the PPE area, the general approach to be taken in developing a Navy PPE system is described. (Author)
