Abstract

Given the set of equations (1): y double prime (x) + k squared (x) y (x) = 0; k squared = k sub 0 squared (1 + the quantity (mu/1 + exp to the x/L power)) the report indicates how eigenvalues (and eigenfunctions) of equations (1) can be evaluated numerically in an easy way by using Lie series.
