Abstract
The vectors and possibly reservoirs of the virus of Crimean type hemorrhagic fever are ixodid ticks of the genus Hyalomma (Chumakov, M. P., Khodukin, N. I. et al.). The distribution range of Crimean hemorrhagic fever is entirely confined within the boundary of distribution of ticks of this genus, occupies the southern areas of Russia and Bulgaria, and is associated with natural zones of steppes, semideserts, deserts, and low hills.
