PARASITOLOGICAL INFORMATION ON FOCI OF INCIDENCE OF CRIMEAN TYPE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER IN ASTRAKHAN OBLAST,

Abstract

By summarizing the epidemiological and parasitological data: spring-summer seasonality, dispersal and infrequency of cases of Crimean hemorrhagic fever, and their association exclusively with rural areas, professional and age composition of infected persons, and the role played by Hyalomma plubeum ticks in transmission of infection to man, it is concluded that hemorrhagic fever in Astrakhan Oblast does not differ from Crimean hemorrhagic fever.
