PREMISES FOR DIVISION OF THE WESTERN SIBERIAN LOW-LANDS INTO EPIDEMIOLOGICAL LANDSCAPE REGIONS WITH REGARD TO TICK-BORNE ENCEPHALITIS,

Abstract

Epidemiological landscape division into districts and classification of natural foci of tick-borne encephalitis is essential in order to carry out effective epidemiological surveys and observation of protected territory, differentiation of prophylactic measures for different types of populated localities, organization of epidemiological prognosis and well timed organization of anti-epidemiological measures depending on epidemiological estimates, and epidemiological estimates for the coming season. Epidemiological landscape division into districts must be regarded as the principal task of parasitological departments of Sanitary Epidemiological Stations and scientific research institutions which have been summoned to solve the actual problem of protective measures against tick-borne encephalitis in the U.S.S.R.
