ARTHROPODS OF MEDICAL IMPORTANCE IN ASIA AND THE EUROPEAN USSR, PART 1

Abstract

The occurrence of insects and other arthropods of medical importance in Asia and the European USSR is summarized on the basis of a compilation of most of the available references in the scientific literature. The report includes, for each major group of arthropods, a listing of species and subspecies with biological and distributional data, tabulations of disease or disease organisms transmitted, and complete literature citations. Part 1 includes information on 1236 species and subspecies of mosquitoes.
