CHANNEL CAPACITY AND CODING

Abstract

The report presents original results in information. An improvement of Fano's theorem is proved. A sufficient condition for finite capacity for certain channels with additive noise is proved. An immediate corollary shows that the channel with additive Gaussian noise has finite capacity. A new technique for coding - the connected code - is defined and investigated.
