RUBIDIUM GRADIOMETER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM-PHASE VII. FINAL REPT.,

Abstract

Solutions are presented for the low-frequency electromagnetic response of a spherical body to an oscillating magnetic dipole in a conducting medium. Calculations of necessary current and subsequent power loss are made to investigate the feasibility of detecting a nonconducting sphere and an infinitely conducting sphere in a medium whose conductivity is 4 mhos/meter.
