JOURNAL OF APPLIED SPECTROSCOPY, VOL. 5 NO. 1 1966: SELECTED ARTICLES.

Abstract

The document is comprised of 2 papers. The first reports results of an experimental investigation of processes associated with the presence of an absorbing medium in a laser resonator. It is shown that the behavior of the absorbing medium as a quality modulator depends on its optical parameters in particular on the quantum output of radiative transitions. In the second paper, a method is proposed to separate the channel and the torch of a spark discharge. The method is based on the use of electrodes of a special form.
