Abstract

This manual consists of two parts: Part A, (AD-660 596) National Weather Radar Network Observing and Reporting Procedures, establishes standard methods for the radar observation and reporting of specified weather phenomena. It shall be complied with by Naval Weather Service Units required by other directives to make and report radar weather observations. Part B, (AD-660 597) Weather Radar Fundamentals and Applications, provides detailed technical and background information concerning weather radar equipment and its employment.
