A STOCHASTIC MODEL FOR THE ATTACHMENT AND DETACHMENT OF ANTIBODIES TO VIRUS.

Abstract

The report considers a stochastic model for the attachment and detachment of antibodies to virus. An approximate explicit solution for the distribution of the numbers n sub 0, n sub 1, ... , n sub s of virus particles with 0,1,...,s attached antibodies is obtained for small and large t. The stationary distribution of the n(t) is also derived. The joint distribution of the (n sub i) at t, t+tau is discussed. (Author)
