RESEARCH IN SEISMOLOGY

Abstract

The report contains reports by the Department of Geophysics and Geophysical Engineering of Saint Louis University on the following studies: body wave studies of special effects related to path of propagation and station site, the focal mechanism of earthquakes, model studies of the relation between cavity size and decoupling of explosive sources, the determination of depth of focus, and the phase velocity of surface waves. Seismograms which supplied the data discussed in this report were obtained from WWSS, LRSM, and Saint Louis University network stations.
