TRANSMISSION LINE PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS-STANDING WAVE IMPEDANCE PROBE,

Abstract

Accuracy of information obtained from the standing wave impedance probe is dependent to a great extent on the precision to which the transmission line parameters are known. The purpose of this report is to consolidate and record the significant methods and techniques of parameter measurements of the artificial transmission lines used with the impedance probe. Methods for finding the transmission line constant and typical values are given for propagation of both attenuation and phase constants. (Author)
