METEOROLOGICAL PROCESSES IN THE SURFACE LAYER OF THE ATMOSPHERE IN ANTARCTICA,

Abstract

Unique conditions of the atmospheric circulation and of the radiation balance in Antarctica greatly affect the meteorological regime of this continent. These unusual peculiarities revealed in the data concerning the distribution of the principal meteorological elements are based on observations made by USSR, French, and Australian Antarctic Expeditions at weather stations during the years 1956-1957; these data are presented in Tables.
