WIND OVER A CITY

Abstract

The report analyzes observational wind speed data from television towers in Kiev and Leningrad. The diurnal course of mean vertical wind speed profiles, up to a height of 180 m is presented. The roughness length and the angle of the change in wind direction with height over a city is obtained.
