CHANGE IN CHEMICAL POTENTIALS AND PARTIAL PRESSURES OF THE COMPONENTS OF TERNARY TWO-PHASE SYSTEMS WITH ISOTHERMAL-ISOBARIC CHANGE IN COMPOSITION, I.

Abstract

The general conditions relating the variations in the composition and chemical potentials of ternary two-phase systems under constant pressure and temperature are derived. The conditions of passage through extrema of chemical potentials and partial pressures of the components of ternary systems during isothermal-isobaric variation in the composition of these systems are determined. The rules for determining the orientation of the changes in partial pressures and chemical potentials of components during isothermal and isotherm-isobaric variation in the composition of ternary saturated solutions are formulated.
