EFFECTS OF LASER RADIATION ON LEAD SULFIDE PHOTOCONDUCTORS.

Abstract

The report presents a descriptive survey of the behavior of lead sulfide photodetectors when subjected to laser radiation. It shows that a photodetector has an internal current gain due to decrease of its resistance brought about by absorption of laser radiation. The various experimental observations of changes in the internal characteristics of lead sulfide sensors are noted and interpreted. (Author)
