DISSEMINATION OF AGARD INFORMATION AND PUBLICATIONS IN THE NETHERLANDS,

Abstract

The system for disseminating AGARD information as it is developed in the Netherlands, is of course entirely based on local requirements and local circumstances. The Netherlands have the advantage that all aerospace activities are located fairly closely together and never more than 150 miles apart. Frequent visits are possible without undue loss of travelling time because of a good road system and frequent train services, so that personal contacts are close, and a large proportion of the people involved know each other personally. The organizations for aerospace research and aeronautical development work closely together, which is of great help when having to co-ordinate activities. In a small country like the Netherlands, not only do members of the aerospace community mostly know each other, but also good contacts with groups working in other fields of science and technology exist. The coordination of AGARD activities and the distribution system has proved to be both effective and economical, and is much appreciated by the users. (Author)
