(A CASE OF) GASTRIC LIPOMA, SIMULATING A MALIGNANT TUMOR (ONE OBSERVATION),

Abstract

The diagnosis of gastric lipoma, as a rule, is rendered after surgery. Usually, a polyp or gastric carcinoma are suspected. In this case, prior to the operation, the diagnosis rendered was gastric carcinoma. Where the lipoma diagnosed during the surgical intervention, it would have been perfectly rational to enucleate the tumor and to do wedge-shaped resection of the gastric wall. (Author)
