WIDE-ANGLE INTERNAL DEFLECTION STRUCTURES OF CATHODE-RAY TUBES.

Abstract

Test results are described which were obtained with a test gun comprising two two-dimensional lenses and one rotationally symmetrical lens. Conclusions are drawn concerning the strength of the lens action associated with a deflection system. Three deflection systems are compared as to their focusing properties. Another test gun design is described with which it is expected to demonstrate the deflection defocusing requirements of this contract. Furthermore, a deflection system has been designed to demonstrate the properties described in the Second Triannual Report (AD-654 519) on pages 14-25. (Author)
